Join us for a 6-lesson Batik Painting programme and discover the rich tradition and creative possibilities of this beautiful art form!

Over the course of six engaging sessions, participants will be introduced to the context, history and background of Batik, while learning hands-on techniques to create their own unique artworks.
What you’ll explore:
🖌️ Discover Batik
Learn about the origins, cultural context and characteristics of Batik, and gain an appreciation of this traditional art form.
🎨 Learn Batik Techniques
Get hands-on with Batik painting techniques and explore how lines, dots, colours and patterns can be brought together to create beautiful artworks.
👜 Create Your Own Works
Put your skills into practice by creating Batik artworks, including a beautiful Batik tote bag that you can take pride in.
🌈 Explore Art & Design
Learn how to use the Elements of Art (EOA) such as Colour, Line and Dot, together with the Principles of Design (POD) including Unity, Emphasis and Repetition, to develop and enhance your final artworks.
💬 Share & Celebrate Your Creativity
At the end of the programme, participants will have the opportunity to present and share their completed works, verbalising their creative process and highlighting what they have learnt throughout the six lessons.
