President's Message
Dear members,
It is indeed a great challenge and pleasure to serve you all. In keeping with our mission to disseminate information and create awareness of stroke, our main goal is to reach out to stroke survivors with their caregivers.
The work of the SNSA has been effective and overwhelmingly successful due to the unceasing services of our stroke volunteers on the frontline visiting hospitals as well as the remarkable contributions the previous SNSA committee members led by my predecessor Mr Wong Sow Wei. I aim to continue these endeavors.
The mission and vision of this current SNSA committee is “omission” of the barriers and obstacles that hinder and slow down the recovery of stroke survivors. From personal experience as a stroke survivor, I can share with you that there are many obstacles to stroke recovery and rehabilitation. However, I can also attest that life can be happy after stroke.
The SNSA aims to help stroke survivors handle obstacles in their recovery process, through activities like stroke club which allow for interactive exchange and sharing of ideas. I have plans to keep the association moving forward and achieving it goals. I would appreciate your suggestions and contribution which will be of great help and support to the association.
Thanks and God bless,
Mr. Eugene Jayme Escanan
President
Singapore National Stroke Association
