The Pioneer Generation Disability Assistance Scheme (PioneerDAS) is part of the Pioneer Generation Package, which honours what Singapore’s Pioneers have done for the country. Under this scheme, Pioneers who have disabilities can receive $100 a month, which they can use for expenses.
In March 2014, the Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF) announced three new transport schemes for persons with disabilities. The MSF will also work with transport operators to provide and expand customised transport services for persons with disabilities. The schemes are expected to benefit over 50,000 people with disabilities.
Administered by SG Enable, the Assistive Technology Fund (ATF) provides individuals with subsidies for persons with disabilities (PWDs) to purchase assistive technology devices to enable independent living.
